I am trans-forming as we speak
embracing the feminine mind
in this masculine body, growing,
changing, and dancing the
turning of the years.
Transformation and change
never cease, even the dead decay
and change from the organized
dust of humanity to the unorganized
dust of soil and elements being
reorganized into plants and animals
and water and earth.
The everyday miracles of change propel
us into new understandings, discoveries
of new horizons and new limitations.
The dance of transformation’s steps,
while sometimes painful, are rooted in
the joy of becoming.
Can we welcome ourselves into the
dance that we so often fight against?
Can we let go of the fears of losing
welcome, and instead be the welcome
we long for?
I can welcome me and you and
you can welcome you and me,
and together we can become
and belong to ourselves and
each other.
